Steering wheel compatibility problem - FalcoNero - 15.10.11

Hi there guys,

As usual, please forgive me speaking in english instead of german (I'm Italian).

I have a question: are all the various steering wheels in the years compatible with one another?

My desire is to swap my stock lederlenkrad with an aftermarket one i found on Siekmanntuning.de but I got the avantgarde sport steering wheel (the one with buttons on sides). So can I mount a different steering on my steering column?

Not necessarily... The mounting did not change oiver the years, but the connection pad to the airbag changed. So with a little more information about your car and the new steering wheel, we might be able to help you! ;-)

Hi Falco,

Do you bought a steering wheel, in the R129 section? Then the steering wheel change should work. Do you have photos of the steering wheel, you got? So we can see, what you mean with "buttons on sides"?

I assume, he means the wheel mounted in 96/97 cars and SLK as well. That one has actuation pads for the signal horn. But as I said... a little more information could be useful ;-)
